My Reading Life in Sixth Grade

I have started to read a lot.I enjoy reading in a quite place but not extermely quite.I've read 18 books so far.I have read many dystopian books especially The Shadow Children Series.I enjoy reading a series, because I like the continuation.I would like to challenge myself with reading higher leveled books like Seekers.I've started to read just right books and I want to pick a little more challenging books.I like every genre so I mostly choose different genre's when I read but not when I'm in a middle of a series.I can improve by reading more.My goal for the next semester is to finish the Seekers series and to read 30 books.

Process-Drawing the tree was very very very hard .I practiced it so many times that it was not so bad.thought this  project was pretty easy the painting part was hard.I chose this because it had almost everything that this project required it had mountains it had trees it had Water it even had a Plane and a Helicopter.

Process For the Second Project-I really love the copying part, because you can fix your mistakes and correct it and get new Ideas.And marker is easier than water color.

What is the Most Important Idea from this Unit?

I think the most important idea from this unit is the Big Bang.

Reflection on The Building Challenge

It was really fun but hard to build not the math.The math was pretty easy.You had to use at least 10 dollars to build a 50 cm tower with straw,paper clips and tape.Shahrukh and me used only the paper clips and the straws no tape.

Process-I was trying to draw the jar but it didn't turn out that well so the teacher helped me and then I learned a lot.

My Memoir

In Language Arts we spent time writing a memoir.I felt it was hard to get an idea.It's really fun to write about a memory.

We entered a restaurant called meat stack............
Kaboom a tray dropped and the yucky disgusting chewy beef dropped I thought to myself “yucky”. But on the other side I saw Honey Peanut Chicken my tongue started watering but the beef, I felt like puking.I said to myself I must try the beef. I first waited and waited for the chicken. In the waiting time I went to the corner of the restaurant and felt the wavy breeze of the ocean it was so cold the music was also playing the music and the breeze together sounded so good .I was actually was enjoying myself with the sea view and the breeze also the slow background music with three people.one person was playing a trumpet and another was playing a piano and the last one was making a low sound with his guitar. It was so beautiful. Then finally the chicken came to the table I’m like awesome. I served myself a lot. I dipped the chicken in the sauce and put it in my mouth it was disgusting yucky the cook made a big disaster oh my god I hate this chicken. I should not have been patient for this chicken it’s not worth it oh my god. I ordered a blue lemonade. It took a long long time and then it came I took a sip and it was awesome I was thinking whether this restaurant is a good one or a bad one. I went to the dessert counter and asked the man there “can I have a chocolate bomb” he said he first has to put it in the glass oven. I was hungry so I asked the waiter what’s the most popular dish here “the beef try it” I said “I don’t want to” he said give it a try I said “okay fine”.When the beef came I took a teeny teeny bit and tried it guess what it was horribly awesome It was so tender,soft,buttery,roasty,sweet,zesty and I have million more awesome words of taste to add to that. It was so tasty and sooooooo good. I think it had so enchantment it, it’s like Edmund in the lion the witch and the wardrobe.After my belly was full I took a few jumps to get ready for the desert. I went back to the dessert counter and took my chocolate bomb with a scoop of vanilla Ice cream and went to the table.Ahh I burned my finger ouch, I licked my finger it was better.When I took a scoop of Ice cream and a spoon of chocolate bomb the chocolate bomb burst on the plate with chocolate.Then I took a bite it was very good but not good as the beef. I learned that you should try everything not stick with the same thing.If I hadn’t tried it I would have never knew how beef tastes like.
What did you do best on this assignment? What are the strengths of this writing piece?
Dialogue is my strength in my writing.But I think I need to improve them.
How did you manage your time during this assignment?
I spent a lot of time thinking about my idea and the dialogue
I spent more time at home not at school.Which mini-lessons did you find most useful to your writing?
I think the ending mini lesson was the most useful.How to start and finish lessons.
What would you keep in mind for the next time you write a piece like this?
I should get a better memory because this doesn’t have that much action.

Dividing Fractions

Dividing fractions is hard to visualize.But it's very easy to get the answer.I think it's fun to divide fractions you just have to put the fractions upside down and multiply. When we were using the cubes I couldn't really understand but after that I got the hang of it.

I used 12 Cubes

1/3=4 Cubes

1/6=2 Cubes

1/4=3 Cubes

1/2=6 Cubes

1/12=1 Cube

Life Cycle of a Star

This project was not as hard as I thought but it was hard. I was really confident when I did my video and my narration but after I finished I couldn't slow it down then I asked how to slow it down then someone told me and after that I posted it on to youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIdngtLp13k&feature=youtu.be  and played it the narration didn't come I started to get frustrated so I went down to the CIC and asked for the laptop that I had my narration in and I then uploaded it to youtube then it worked I was so happy!

In this project I learned to use imotion hd and slow down in imovie also I learned many facts about stars.

I would like to see real pictures of them and learn more about them.

then slowed it down
did the narration
and finally it didn't work
so I went to imovie and chose it with the audio
then uploaded it to youtube
Now im happy with it but I did have some technical difficulties.

Soccer

I know how to play soccer but I am not a expert at this.I learned how to do long passes I thought you have to kick it with side's of your shord but you actually have to kick from the lace.Soccer has improved my stamina because you run a lot.

Badminton

I  knew how to play but I learned where the out line is where is in.I learned many important skills and I learned many different ways to hit the birdie.I practice sometimes with my dad and my sister.I have learned to move back and forth  but in tennis you go sideways.

Geography of Mesopotamia

Five things I learned about Mesopotamia:

• Mesopotamia means the land that is surrounded by two rivers Tigris and Euhrates.
• Farmers lived there because the soil was fertile and they could get lots of water to grow plants
• People also lived there because it was easy transportation
• The yearly flood was unpredictable
• Mesopotamia was easy to invade because it had few mountains.
• Mesopotamia had few building materials
• They used mud and bricks to plaster
• Farmers didn't know when to plant because of the unpredictable floods

Brain Bender Reflection

In this project I learned that I have to look at the rubric, because I need to know what I have to do.And I also think I could have done a much better Job.I think I did good in my pattern that's because of my question.Yesterday I corrected my order of operation.I would change my question and develop my work and I would like to have more time
